Welcome to the home page for

Hales CC, Hales Green, Norfolk.

There are more details about the club below and on the 'About us' page.

youth news

  • The next youth presentation nights (with BBQ) is July 21st after training. See you there.

  • As part of our New Ground initiative, we are hoping to get a grant from Chance to Shine towards an artificial practice strip. However, we need to raise about £1250 of this ourselves, so we're going to have an hour-long sponsored catching event on 14th July. Sponsor forms are available from Pete and Carl - please get as many as of your friends, family and colleagues as you can to support you, and good luck!

news flashes

  • There'll be a 6-aside competion in memory of former player Matt Green on Sunday 10th August. If you'd like to enter a team, call Pete on 07931 711323 or email him at petehalescc@aol.com - the entry fee is £25 a team, going to the Royal Marsden Hospital where Matt was treated. There'll also be a bar, BBQ and raffle in aid of the Royal Marsden.
  •
  • See the new ground page for the latest updates on the new pitch, and the rogues gallery for photos of the new 2008 cricketwear. And have a look at the match reports on the individual team pages.
  •
  • Congratulations to Mark Minns (U13) and Chris Read (U10), who've just been chosen to join the Norfolk county squads, where they'll join Rob (U17) and Chris (U15/U16) Andersen
  •
  • Thanks to all those who have sponsored youth awards for this season. If anyone else would like to join this expanding scheme, please contact Pete
  •
  • We try not to be put off by weather, but if training has to be cancelled, we'll try to make sure it's announced on Radio Broadland after 5 pm, and it's worth checking the website too
  •
  • Do you fancy a trip to the West Indies in February/March 2009 to the test match? The all-inclusive cost will probably be about £1200, so if you're interested, contact Pete
